Privacy notice

What we collect

• Your email address.
• The topics you choose: Weekly Pulse and/or Product updates.
• Where you signed up, for example the Subscribe button at the top of the site.
• Which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to, and when.
• When you confirmed, changed your topics or unsubscribed.
• A one-way, keyed fingerprint of your IP address, used only to stop abuse. We don't store the IP address itself.

How we use it

Only to send the topics you chose and the emails needed to run your subscription: the confirmation email and links to change your topics or unsubscribe.

Nothing is sent beyond the confirmation email until you confirm. We don't sell or share your address, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• If you don't confirm, we delete your email address and sign-up details within 72 hours.
• If you unsubscribe, we delete them within 72 hours of unsubscribing.
• While you're subscribed, we keep them so we can send what you chose.

After deletion we keep only a dated record of the steps, such as “confirmed” or “unsubscribed”, with no email address attached.

Copies can remain in our database backups and our record of sent emails for up to 30 days before they are removed too.

If you ask us to erase your data, or you report our email as spam, we also keep a one-way fingerprint of your address so we never email it again.

Who helps us

Our emails are sent with Google Workspace. Our website and subscriber list are hosted by Cloudflare. They handle this information only on our behalf, and it may be processed outside your country.

No tracking

Our subscription emails contain no tracking pixels, and we don't track which links you click.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email, or with Unsubscribe in the Subscribe box.
• Change your topics with the “Manage your emails” link in any of our emails.
• Ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion by emailing [email protected].
